Farthingloe HAA Battery

Built in World War Two this anti aircraft battery is set in a circular layout, the site had a circular road linking the four gun emplacements. The guns were in pairs with a sunken magazine between each pair. Within each gun emplacement were shell stores located around the gun forming a ring. The guns were 3.7" and were mounted on the site at the beginning of World War II.


Also surviving at the site is the central command post, gun store, guardroom and air raid shelter.
