This shelter was used during World War Two as protection from bombing raids. It has blast walls, cubicles for chemical toilets, benches on either side of the shelter and there was enough space for another row of benches along the centre of the shelter.
It seems after the war the shelter was damaged so that a pipe line could be ran through it.
The shelter is is now sealed and forgotten. The blast walls albeit damaged, footing for the benches and some of the bench cross planks, light fittings and toilet cubicle partitions remain within the shelter.
