This shelter was constructed at the start of the WW2 for use by the staff who were working at the Air Ministry Office.
Within the shelter there was lighting, a chemical toilet cubicle, benches running the length of the shelter and a sump to pump out water.
Access into the shelter was via a staircase and there was also an escape shaft located at the opposite end of the shelter.
The shelter retains its wooden benches and light fittings although it has been used as a rubbish dump in recent years.
