Kent Battle of Britain Museum: Bristol Blenheim Mk IVF

This Blenheim Mk IVF is the combination of four Canadian built Bristol Bollingbrokes acquired by the Museum.
The aircraft displays the serial number L9446 coded LA-N. It was built at Rootes Securities and would've been delivered around March 1940. It joined 235 Squadron.
On 18th August 1940 L9446 claimed a Junkers Ju 88 which was attacking the airfield at Thorney Island. Piloting the aircraft was Flying Officer Reginald John Peacock with his observer being Pilot Officer Herbet K. Wakefield and Wireless Operator/ Air Gunner being Sergeant William Wilson.
L9446 was lost on the 4th January 1943 while with 132 OTU. It crashed during a forced landing at Tynefield Farm, East Lothian with no casualties recorded.
