During 1941 a second bombing decoy was built at Luddesdown designated Q96B to deceive the enemy into bombing it rather than the airfield at RAF Gravesend. It was a Q type night bombing decoy which would’ve displayed lights to simulate an activate airfield. Split into two rooms, one was for the operating staff and would’ve had some communications equipment in it with a square hatch in the roof for emergency escape and the other smaller room for the generator and switch gear.
