South Foreland: No 2 Gun War Shelter

The second gun at South Foreland was installed in 1941, this was a 9.2inch gun “Prinz Eugen”.

The War Shelter was located to the rear of the gun pit, it was an underground structure that provided protection for the crew manning the gun from the blast of enemy shells.
