Victorian Brick Curing Kiln

This tunnel is Victorian in date and would have been used for steam curing bricks to prevent the bricks from cracking when being fired.


During World War Two the tunnel was possibly repurposed as a air raid shelter to protect the workers of the nearby works from Air Raids.
